Ready for a fireworks filled 4th?! Looking to be a soggy one here in the Atlanta, which blows for the Atlanta Peachtree Road Race runners. Having the world’s largest 10K in my backyard is a cool bragging right.
I’m in between moves and wasn’t prepared for the Peachtree, but I did finally sign up for my first post-bambino race! (Angels rejoice) Moving has made training difficult but I feel focused and ready for the upcoming challenge.
The Hopkins Raspberry Run is a 5-miler in my new neighborhood. Looking forward to finally putting a chip on my sneaker again. It’s a perfect distance to getting back into the groove of things.
I literally wore my last Mizuno Wave Inspire’s into the ground. To celebrate and motivate me for my race I bought a new pair, the Mizuno Wave Inspire 9. These kicks are some of my faves because they have a bit of cushion also prevent excessive pronation. Bonus, the color is awesome. I always hate it when you’re up for a new shoe and the model you want is some crappy design. I’m blue and happy.
What are your holiday plans?!
I love new shoes for motivation! 😉
Oh, and outfits:)
Yay!! Have so much fun on that race! I have heard great things about Mizunos!
I’ve been a Nike gal, Brooks, etc., but Mizunos are my most recent faves.
Wave Inspire rock. I didn’t know anyone wore their shoes as long as I did. Great to see it. =) Congrats on the race sign up, and can’t wait to see how it goes.
I am thrilled their a good color this time, lol.
Woohoo for racing!! Sounds like a fun run and what better way to get to know the neighborhood than to see it on foot. Good luck with your training.
Congratulations on your first post-baby race! I’m in awe of you mother runners!
That’s awesome it’ll be in your new ‘hood.
New shoes are a great inspiration, especially when they’re cute!
Yay!!! I can’t even explain how excited I am for you! Minnesota, race registration AND Mizunos! Sounds like a great trio to me! I am looking forward to hearing all about you upcoming adventures!
Just found you via Fast, Fit Runner. We’re actually en route to Atlanta for long w/e & driving in rain. Glad I didn’t plan on Peachtree this year! Congrats on signing up for first post baby race!! Been there twice!
Omg what a small world!! Hope you had a great 4th, rocking mama!
