New Year’s Resolutions & Motivations

Is everyone feeling rested after the holiday break? While I missed you all, it was fantastic unwinding back in the states with my fam. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday. I can’t believe my favorite day of the year has already come and gone. It went by way too fast.

As we are easing back into the post-holiday grind, let’s make a pact to do something in 2012. If you’ve made resolutions, keep at them. I am not feeling like making a New Year’s resolution, but I am ready for some change.

In 2012 I want to BE:
Challenged to do something I’ve never done before.
Savvy about my finances. Maybe there is something to this whole couponing craze.
Smart about staying connected with people on Earth and not on Facebook.
Less reliant on Google. I will attempt to take more moments and see if I can find the answer myself.
Well read. My inner bookworm needs to be nourished.

Big, small or in between, may your resolutions be things of importance and worthy of celebration.

What’s one resolution you are not going to make in 2012?

    • Why worry about weight when you know you’re healthy and active — including a new year’s day cookie fest:) that’s how we roll! Happy New Year to you as well!

  1. I love all of the things you want to BE this year. Such a cool way to approach 2012!
For me? One resolution I’m not going to make? I’m not going to make a lose weight/get fit goal – I’m focused on staying healthy and active and that doesn’t need a number or something attached to it. I am who I am!

  2. I’m not going to say that I will lose weight. It may or may not happen with CrossFit / marathon training, but that is not my goal. My goal is to be the best athlete I can be this year. I want a strong and healthy body. If the scale stays the same, so be it.

  3. Happy New Year! I can feel your joy ebbing from those photos – so glad you were able to go home for the holidays!

“staying connected with people on Earth” A-MEN sistah. 2012 – the year we come full circle and kick some technology dependencies out the door. Also, you’re in Europe – so, I’m living vicariously through the adventures that I know you’ll seize & share 😉

  4. Welcome back! Looks like you had a fabulous break:-)

I am going to keep my 2011 resolution of not stepping on a scale (unless at the doctors). It worked for me last year and I never stressed about a number, but instead focused on how I felt.

  5. I’m glad you had a wonderful holidays and that you are back now! I didn’t know you were in GA! It’d been great if I bumped into you Haha!

I love all of the changes that you wanted to see in 2012. I would love for me to step out of my comfort zone more in 2012 and experience new things. 🙂
