Too much fun. We kicked off the weekend by celebrating a friend’s 30th, then spent Saturday night whooping it up at a wedding.
Saturday I was feeling a bit stupid adventurous and decided to try out Crossfit. If marathon training wasn’t going to kick my a** anymore, something else had to replace it, right? If you had asked me Friday if I would have gone to Crossfit on Saturday morning I would have said you were high. Nonetheless, after hearing many a success story on Friday night, I put on my running shoes and big girl panties then hit the gym. I actually had yoga plans Saturday morning, talk about the other end of the spectrum. I’ll give you more deets later, right now I’m still trying to process my decision. I need more than a first date to make up my mind.
Unfortunately, I am not sure if I am sore from the down-low dancing at the wedding or my wall-balls. (That’s what she said.)
If I can leave everyone with one thought for the week, let’s get it started on the right foot:
What’s your favorite song to dance to at weddings? Journey, Michael Jackson? I wanna know what tickles your twinkle toes!
Anything played at a wedding is obviously a winner… lol
I can’t Dougie to save my life. Truth. Have you ever seen how to do the Bernie? (Weekend at Bernie’s reference?) YouTube it- it’s hilarious!
I tried CrossFit for the 1st time last Thursday. I was sore until yesterday…and I’m going back tomorrow! 🙂
Glad you had a fun weekend! Hmmmm – I agree about Journey at weddings. Gets the whole crowd going. And Bon Jovi – Livin’ On A Prayer!
ahhh, love it. My husband just informed me what the dougie was. Cracked me up!
LOVE the title. i love doing the dougie in spin class. my teacher gets off his bike and dances. it’s awesome.
I have mixed feeling about the CrossFitters, too. I literally couldn’t move for three days after I “tried” it (which was also right after my marathon in October) – and that was combined with being on my feet ALL DAY (e’ry day) at the store. STOOPID.
Anywho, give me some MJ or some Beyonce for dancin’ tunes. Or, really, just a beat. It doesn’t take much to get my toes twinkling 😉
I was at a wedding also this past weekend. Anything but organized dancing lines please.
