Today is my Friday, wahoo! Heading to Otown to see my bro, you may know him here as “Mikey Likey.” Ready to get Disney World tired, bring it Epcot Food & Wine Festival!
As my Braves enter the “off-season” I feel I am doing the same. I need more time to figure out what’s next. Whatever that is. In the meantime I’ve been enjoying my group fitness classes. Spinning is a cross training dreamboat. I find that I push myself harder in a group, less room for slacking. Each song in the hour session is choreographed to hills/climbs, sprints, jumps, uptempo cadences, etc. While the classes are phenomenal, it’s an individual sport. You are the only person pushing yourself to the brink of breaking. It’s up to the individual to determine how hard the class will be, since you can set the level of difficulty on the bike. I will also say that a good instructor makes all the difference, that and the music. I can only pedal so hard to the Glee soundtrack before I am ready to launch my shoe at the iPod. For those that ride clip-less, most bikes have the option to clip in. Suhweet. I’ve been able to practice more fluidity in my pedal stroke in spin and it’s helped me ride more effectively when I back on the road.
