You will probably hear me reference “Norak” in various posts. Norak is my amazing, beautiful and charismatic mother. Norak = Karon spelled backwards, btw.
She’s a rock star. While I am racing in Nashville this weekend (weather pending), Norak is taking one for the team, literally. Norak is participating in the annual March of Dimes walk. This is her upteenth year in a row. March of Dimes mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality. It’s also a personal cause for our family, as I was born premature.
This year Norak is walking to honor the memory of Joaquin Kinkead Wright, her neighbor’s infant son. Donations fund March of Dimes research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and babies begin healthy lives.
You can still give to this amazing cause, and I am thrilled to announce that Norak hit her goal of raising $300 for the foundation. View more here and we hope to have your support.
Let’s cheer on Norak for a great walk this weekend! OG NORAK!
